“Sacred Scripture tells us clearly that God, in making us his children through Jesus, wants us to know his love and to know that he lives in us and we live in him. God desires us to know that Jesus is the Word, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. And he wants each person to be able to say that Jesus is his or her own personal Savior. And once we know all of this, God desires us to love him in return and to pray to him with deep personal faith and trust.”

I offer this little quote from the Franciscan University as just one of many evidences that Catholic do indeed call people to personal conversion.

Catholics HAVE Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. One cannot get much more intimate with Him than in the Eucharist!!!
Oh ya, then you have to explain the Eucharist to those bible believing Christians who do not believe what He says in John...but hey - it is a start!
Hi Patty,
I had read that before and I loved it.
In my RCIA class last night, there was not one person there who would disagree with knowing HIM personally!
All those people would not be out on a Wednesday night until almost 9:00 p.m. if we didn't love HIM with all of our hearts - seeking HIM and HIS will out of love. Anyway I look at it, those are converted hearts..they are turned towards HIM alone!
I wish my family (extended) wasn't afraid to just come and see - not even participate- just see how much scripture we read, hear the Psalms we sing, even the sermon (homily) exhorted the members to live a life of faith, hope and love first to Our Lord and then it flows out to our fellow men...even the least of these.
Blessings and may the peace of Christ be with you,
Teri
p.s. I'm reading St.Faustina's diary :-)
